OpenAI ressource location access with standard deployment

Hi,

It seems like I can't deploy LLM models in specific regions:

I am trying to deploy GPT-4o, 4o-mini, and o3-mini instances in specific regions (france, Germany, and Spain) as requested by a customer. When selecting the "standard" deployment type, I only get access to 3 ressources locations: Sweden Central, South Africa, and Japan East.

I tried to create other ressources, and hub in different locations, and it doesn't seem to change anything.

Thanks in advance,

Hi there Romain BATLLE

Thanks for using QandA platform

Azure OpenAI models, like GPT-4o, 4o-mini, and o3-mini, are not available in all regions due to capacity limitations and compliance policies. With a Standard deployment, Microsoft restricts available resource locations, which is why you're only seeing options like Sweden Central, South Africa, and Japan East.

check if these regions support .

Azure OpenAI region availability.

If this helps kindly accept the answer thanks much.

    Hi Romain BATLLE,

Based on the current standard deployment availability, GPT-4o, GPT-4o-mini, and o3-mini are not available for deployment in France, Germany, or Spain.

Currently, these models can be deployed in the following regions:
    Sweden Central

    South Africa North

    Japan East
For more information: Model summary table and region availability.
Azure is actively working to increase regional availability for these models. However, you can keep an eye on the Azure OpenAI Service release notes for updates. This page will be updated accordingly with more details.

I hope this information helps. Thank you!
