My custom app is failing to install and failing app validation at the install case.

Hello, my custom app that I created is failing to install using the custom app upload feature in Teams. Furthermore, when I try to validate my app using "app validation" in the developer portal, it is also failing to install. The issue is I don't know why - my manifest looks correct. I also tried creating a new app from scratch and it still seem to be failing. I'm not editing the manifest json manually and am just using the developer portal to construct my app package.
The test case app validation is failing is : Unable to upload the manifest.zip file in MS Teams.
I have created custom apps before and they seem to work.
