Orphaned Container Apps infrastructure resource group needs cleanup

Hello,

For some reason, My container apps environment fusex-env was not present in my list of resources this morning. I am trying to recreate the container app environment without having to redo configuration amongst the other services, however I'm running into issues with orphaned Container Apps infrastructure resource group (ME_fusex-env_fusex-rg_eastus) with deny assignments that prevent deletion.

Is it possible to get help cleaning up the orphaned resources safely so I can recreate my container app environment with the same name?

This was the configuration of the CAE before it was deleted.

Container Apps Environment

Name: fusex-env

Network Configuration:

Uses the private-subnet (10.0.1.0/24)

publicNetworkAccess: "Disabled"

internal: true (VNet integration enabled)

Static IP: 10.0.1.249

Private Endpoint: fusex-container-endpoint in endpoint-subnet

Hello jeff hammer,

To clean up orphaned resources associated with your Azure Container Apps environment, follow these steps:

First check for any deny assignments that are blocking the deletion of the resource group. These need to be removed before proceeding.

Once deny assignments are cleared, delete the orphaned resource group using either Azure CLI or PowerShell:

Azure CLI:az group delete --name ME_fusex-env_fusex-rg_eastus --yes --no-wait

PowerShell:Remove-AzResourceGroup -Name ME_fusex-env_fusex-rg_eastus -Force

After successfully deleting the orphaned resources, you can recreate your Container Apps environment with the same name and configuration.

Hey thank you for the response.

This resource (Container Apps Managed Resource Group Deny Assignment b4f39ed2-8d72-46ca-b2e3-d39d4cda3196) is read-only, and I seem to not be able to remove these even though I am an owner on the Azure account.

Is this something that Support can help with?
