Encountering a persistent error when opening a excel: "A connection to the SharePoint site cannot be established. To synchronize or refresh your table, you must be able to connect to the SharePoint site."

The issue arises on some days despite being logged in to both SharePoint and Excel.

What steps can be taken to troubleshoot this connection problem?

Whether you have a macro in the excel file?

Please follow below tips to troubleshoot the issue:

1.Manually refresh the connection in the excel, check whether the issue persists.

2.To remove previous licenses and cached account information: download the OLicenseCleanup.zip file, extract the OLicenseCleanup.vbs script, and run it using elevated permissions. After running the script, log in the account then run macro again.
