It is constantly telling me that a USB device is not working, but I have unplugged every cable I have plugged in one at a time and it just keeps doing it.

These are the things I am seeing in my event report.

This one is the most common and is there about every 5 to 10 minutes, I believe it is the cause of the ping pong noises:

Session "dc3a3596-71e1-45a3-b2ea-39ad5322fe51" failed to start with the following error: 0xC0000022

I also see this warning in lumps here and there:

An error was detected on device \Device\Harddisk4\DR7 during a paging operation.

And this error in chunks as well:

A new BITS job could not be created. The current job count for the user *** (60) is equal to or greater than the job limit (60) specified through group policy. To correct the problem, complete or cancel the BITS jobs that haven't made progress by looking at the error, and restart the BITS service. If this error recurs, contact your system administrator and increate the per-user and per-computer Group Policy job limits.

    Hello,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Q&A.

Based on the description, I understand your question is related to computer keeps basically making a ping pong noise.

Ensure that the application or service triggering this error has the correct permissions. Right-click on the application or service. Select "Properties" > "Security" tab. Ensure that permissions for Administrators, System, and Users are set to "Allow Full Control".

Open Command Prompt as Administrator. Run below comands:

    sfc /scannow

    chkdsk /f /r

Check that all cables connected to your hard disk are secure. If possible, try using a different cable or port.

Update your drivers, if Driver Verifier has detected a specific one, you can update that driver and see if that fixes the problem. Press Windows + 'R' and type devmgmt.msc to open Device Manager. Locate the device and double-click on it to expand. Double-click on the driver and go to the Drivers tab. Click "Update Driver" and select "Automatic Search" for drivers.

    Have a nice day.

    Best Regards,

    Molly
