Assistance with Enabling Security Defaults & Deleting Conditional Access Policy

Hi Team,

I would like to enable Security Defaults, but I currently have a Conditional Access policy in place. Since Security Defaults cannot be enabled while Conditional Access policies exist, I need to delete the existing Conditional Access policy. However, I am unable to do so.

Here are the relevant details:

Policy ID: 3003026b-7cfa-4b7d-87ed-9fc13e903256

Tenant ID: 79c1de87-0ada-4503-a3c1-2b236ecb1191

Could you please assist me in deleting this Conditional Access policy so that I can enable Security Defaults?

Can you confirm the Conditional access policy name and type?
the policy that you are trying to delete is likely a system-managed policy that Microsoft does not allow users to remove directly. Some policies, especially Microsoft Entra Recommended Security Defaults or MFA-enforced policies, may be managed by Microsoft and cannot be deleted manually.

I have tested in my environment my policy name was: "Multifactor authentication for Microsoft partners and vendors" and I have global admin role. I was able to delete the policy successfully. 1st thing I did is turn off the policy and then deleted it.
