Error connecting to Azure DevOps

Hello,

I'm connected to my Microsoft account in our Azure DevOps organization, I already installed the plugin to connect Excel to Azure DevOps, but when I try to open a view in Excel, and I log in using the same correct credentials, I get this error:

How can I fix this error?

Hi @Lorenzo Zambelli

According to the following screenshot taken from: Office add-in doesn't load or open in Excel when Visual Studio fails, this issue is more related to the Azure DevOps which is not supported on Microsoft Q&A forum currently.

For TF30063 authentication error, you can refer to steps in: Your user account does not have permission to connect to the Team Foundation Server {0}

If you need further assistance, I suggest you post a new thread in Visual Studio --- Developer Community, the members and engineers in this community are more experienced in this area. You will get a more detailed and professional answer to your issue there.

I understand that to make that component work correctly I need to install Visual Studio too, is that correct?

You mean you don't have Visual Studio installed but you get the TF30063 authentication error, am I right?

To connect Excel to Azure Boards, you may need to install Visual Studio, or free Azure DevOps Office Integration 2019. For some connections, Visual Studio does not have to be installed.

What version of Office are you using?

From an Excel perspective, I recommend you try the following:

Please sign out all accounts from your Office desktop apps, then close all Office apps.

Search and open Credential Manager, go to Windows Credentials > Generic Credentials, remove credentials which is related to Office.

Check whether the architecture of Office (32-bit vs Tor 64-bit) is right.

Perform an online repair for your Office.

If you still face this issue, I suggest you contact to the organization admins for assistance. They can provide insights into specific permissions and configurations that might be preventing your access.

thank you for your reply.

I found out that I installed the english version of azuredevops_inttooloffice2019, but Office suite was in italian.

After this, instead of opening a file from Azure, I added our Azure DevOps server into Teams list, this time the authentication procedure worked correctly, so I was able to execute one of the shared queries.

Then again I tried to open a file from Azure DevOps, and it worked too!

So now our issue can be considered as fixed.
