Since this appears to be for a work account, the best place to seek help is from your Tenant administrator.
Microsoft Authenticator Infinite Loop
I am getting extremely frustrated. All I want to do is sign into my work email in my outlook app. However when I try, it automatically opens authenticator app and has me attempt to sign in there. I do so, and then give me a prompt to open the authentication app (even though I am already in it) and enter the code. I can’t enter the code when the app itself won’t let me exit the screen of the code to enter the code.
This is an endless loop.
I now am no longer even able to sign into authenticator, as it’s broken and wants me to verify in an app that I am not even signed into, just attempting to! This is extremely frustrating and I am looking for this bug to be fixed. Thanks so much for your time.
