Entra connect sync "unable to create sync service account" but account exists in entra admin center

I am in the process of adding Entra Connect Sync to my new server 2025 deployment. The goal is to have our local domain be able to use SSO while not being globally routable. I have already made our routable domain a alternate UPN suffix. Whenever I go through the process and start having Entra Connect start configuring it fails when it trys to build the service account. However, whenever I go look in my Entra Admin Center I am able to see the service account. Attached are screenshots of the account creation failure and the account in Entra Admin Center.
