Can you give us more details on the following so that we can help you further:
Could you please provide any error messages encountered when trying to access the URL? Could you confirm if the DNS configuration is correct and if the custom domain name is properly set up? Are there any firewall or Network Security Group (NSG) rules that might be blocking traffic to the VM?
Additionally, is the Azure VM currently running? Are you using a public IP address for the VM, and is it correctly configured? Were there any recent changes made to the VM or its network configuration?

Since you can’t reach out who originally set it up, and the DNS isn’t under your control, the best way forward would be to set up a new domain that you fully own and control.
- Buy a new domain – You can get one from any domain provider you prefer.
- Set up DNS – Once you have a new domain, you’ll need to point it to your Azure VM’s public IP address (104.42.209.207). You can do this by creating an A record in your DNS provider’s portal.
- Azure-side setup – Make sure:
• Your VM is running and accessible via the public IP.
• Your Network Security Group (NSG) allows HTTP/HTTPS (port 80/443).
• Your web server on the VM is configured to respond to the new domain.
Once that’s done, your service should be back online under the new domain.
