Android Enterprise Enrollment, unable to share from Personal to Work Profile

Hello-

I'm running into an Intune issue with Android. This is an Android Enterprise enrollment, enrolled via Company Portal, personal phone with a corporate work profile. There are no device configuration or app protection restrictions for sending data from the personal to the work profile, yet I can't get photos from the personal profile to be shared with the work profile. All docs suggest this should work, but I'm hitting a barrier.

Configuration profile has "Data sharing between work and personal profiles: Apps in work profile can handle sharing request from personal profile" which permits Personal->Work sharing. App Protection Policy has "Receive data from other apps: All Apps". When we attempt to share images from the personal profile to work, Android says "Your IT admin doesn't allow you to open this content with apps in your work profile".

anonymous user, In General, Android Enterprise corporate-owned devices with a work profile are single user devices intended for corporate and personal use. End users can keep their work and personal data separate and are guaranteed that their personal data and applications will remain private.

For the settings under Corporate-owned work profile, there's no setting to share data. We can see more details in the following link:

For the configuration profile setting "Data sharing between work and personal profiles: Apps in work profile can handle sharing request from personal profile", it is for Android Enterprise personally-owned work profile. not for corporate-owned profile. Here is the link for the reference:

If we want to share data between personal profile to work profile, we suggest to change the enrollment type from corporate-owned work profile to personally-owned work profile.
