The computer comes with Office 365, but it cannot be found in the control panel, so it cannot be uninstalled correctly. I have also tried downloading Office support tools but still cannot uninstall it. Due to the installation of other versions of Office on the computer, some features cannot be used properly. How can I completely uninstall Office365?

    Hi,

It seems the Office 365 was installed from Microsoft store, to uninstall Microsoft 365 (Office) Store App, you can follow these steps:

    1. Select Start > Settings > Apps.
    2. Under Apps & Features, select the version of Office you want to uninstall.
    3. Select Uninstall.
    4. Alternatively, you can open the Start Menu, right-click (or tap and hold) the Microsoft 365 (Office) shortcut, and choose Uninstall. Confirm your choice by pressing Uninstall again.

    Hello Kim Jun-ho,

if Office 365 does not appear in the Control Panel and cannot be uninstalled using conventional methods, you can remove it completely using the Microsoft Office Removal Tool. Follow these steps:

Method 1: Using the Microsoft Office Removal Tool

    1. Download the Microsoft Support and Recovery Tool
    2. Launch the tool and follow the instructions
    • Select Uninstall Office
    • Confirm the removal of Office 365
    • Restart the PC after completion

Method 2: Manually uninstall Office 365 (if method 1 does not work)

    1. End the Office processes:
    • Open the Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc)
    • Search for processes such as Winword.exe, Excel.exe, OfficeClickToRun.exe and terminate them
    1. Delete Office folders:
    • Navigate to the following folders and delete them (if present):

    C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office

    C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Office

    C:\Users%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Office

    C:\Users%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Office

    1. Clean up registry entries:
    • Attention: Changes in the registry can be risky!
    • Press Windows + R, type regedit and press Enter
    • Navigate to:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office → Delete the entire Office folder

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office → Delete the entire Office folder

    • Close the registry editor
    1. Restart the PC and reinstall Office (if desired)

If this is helpful, please accept the answer. Thank you.
