How long will Windows 11 be supported?

I've got a computer which is safely compatible with Windows 11, and I'm completely happy with its hardware configuration (9th gen Intel). I would like to plan my future hardware update, and to have at least an approximate idea of how long will Windows 11 be supported.
Will I have to buy newer hardware, let's say, in 2026 because my presently-fine-with-running-Win11 parts will not be able to support another Windows OS (12 or else) which rolls out then? Or should I stay calm because Win11 will be extended past the latest 24H2 version like until 2030? I don't seem to have found a clear answer even after doing some Google search.

    Hello,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Q&A.

Based on the description, I understand your question is related to how long will Windows 11 be supported.

You can refer to the Microsoft official document about win 11 lifecycle:

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/release-health/windows11-release-information

Windows 11 has an annual feature update cadence. Feature updates are released in the second half of the calendar year and come with 24 months of support for Home, Pro, Pro for Workstations, and Pro Education editions; 36 months of support for Enterprise and Education editions. For more information, see the  Windows lifecycle FAQ.
