I did have the Microsoft Authenticator app on my phone, tried there but with no joy.. after the change of the Hello function in Windows.. I then uninstalled when everything was good
I can't sign into Authenticator because it requests a code from authenticator to sign in.
To sign into my account, I am requested to provide an authenticator code. When I try to open authenticator it requests that I sign in. When I try to sign in, even from within Authenticator it asks for an Authenticator code. It is a circular process that always requests an authenticator code. When I click on the option to sign in a different way, I am only given options that involve Authenticator. I currently have my email functioning on the desktop version of Outlook, but I can't open emails on my phone or tablet. I have tried deleting the account from authenticator, deleting the outlook and authenticator apps and clearing the cache. Nothing has worked. I have contacted Microsoft support chat who tried to fix the problem but couldn't. They told me to write the problem here and that someone would contact me by email. The only email address I have active at the moment is the hotmail address from which I am writing this issue.
This is very urgent. I currently cannot open any emails unless I am on my PC.

2025-04-06T14:53:16.2733333+00:00 I had the problem of sign in Authenticator circuitous approval requests and not being able to see the codes or enter the number. after upgrading to a new device. I went to Authenticator settings, and signed out everywhere. Went back to the Authenticator app and signed back in and all is good. App is now working correctly.😊
