We have a computer running Windows 10 IoT LTSC 2019 and using the native Windows touch screen driver with a touch screen monitor for our product. It has been working and all of a sudden yesterday after 3 touches on the touch screen the touch screen stop responding.
After much troubleshooting, we decided to reboot the system and noticed in the device manager that it is no longer loading the windows touch screen driver on boot up (device manager shows no such connection).
We then connected the same cable from the original computer to another touch screen monitor (same brand and model) and that works. We also connected the original non-responsive Touch screen monitor to another computer and that works. So it is only the when the original computer and original touch screen are connected that it will no longer load the touch screen driver. Anyone experience this and know any causes and solution? Thanks in advance.

    Hello,

    Try these steps in order:

     1. Fully power-cycle both devices and try reconnecting.

     2. In the “original computer,” uninstall any residues of the HID touch driver and force a re-detection.

     3. Check and, if needed, adjust power-management settings in both Device Manager and the system BIOS.

     4. Review logs and recent updates for any anomalies, and consider restoring to an earlier known-good configuration if possible.
