Cannot Create a Project

I'm trying to follow the step in this article:

I downloaded VS 2022 Community Edition & installed with the options below ticked: Visual Studio 2022 Install #01

I then tried to create the Word project referred to in the above link, with the selection below Visual Studio 2022 WORD Project #01

This was the result:

What am I doing wrong?

Did you see another dialog box before the error message, and did you also install Word or Office?

Yes, see below. Office is installed, as is Word, Excel, etc.

Hi @Anonymous , I did, in an much as I installed VS 2022 with the configurations selected above. The Office suite was already installed & not the "Click to run" version, as far as I can tell. The articles you linked to states:> Office developer tools are an optional component of Visual Studio, but they are installed automatically along with Visual Studio.

There was no option I could see to select or not select them, so I assume that they are installed.The article states VS 2017, but I assume VS 2022 will work as well.

I was able to create a Word VSTO Add-in project, but not a Word VSTO Document or Word VSTO Template project.

The Office/SharePoint development workload description refers to C# and VB and JavaScript.

Try installing the .Net Desktop Development workload also.
