I have a business and have recently upgraded all licenses from Microsoft 365 Business Premium to Microsoft 365 E3. All our machines are Azure AD joined and are currently running Windows 10 Business which comes with the Business Premium subscription. I am wondering what, if anything, I need to do to have these machines change from Windows 10 Business to Windows 10 Enterprise which is included in the new subscription my users have.

did you ever find a fix for this? I am facing the exact same issue where I have used a premium trial and now want to use enterprise with E3/5 licenses. Going from pro to enterprise works perfectly but I am seemingly stuck when on business.

Thanks for that. I have got machines I recently AutoPilot reset coming up with Windows 10 Enterprise. But I didn't see anything in that article about existing machines though. Will existing machines pick up on the license change and upgrade to Windows 10 Enterprise? I don't really want to AutoPilot reset every machine just to upgrade them from Windows 10 Business.

There is no Windows 10 edition called "Business". Are you referring to Windows 10 Pro?

This is what is running on all PCs in our company. I have tried the paths above and can't get it to upgrade because of the digital license. I have tried removing and installing the Windows 10 Pro product key and it keeps reverting back to Windows 10 Business.
Thanks anyway, I will just wait and see if it eventually changes itself.

There is no edition called Business and I believe you are referring to Windows 10 Pro and if that is the case, upgrade to Windows 10 enterprise is possible , take a look at:

There is, see screenshot in one of OP's comments.
It is only available with M365 Business Premium, and effectively adds some of the Enterprise features to Pro, so is a hybrid of the two. M365 BP users are auto-upgraded to business if running Pro, just as E3 users are auto-upgraded from Pro to Enterprise.
We have the same problem, how do you upgrade from Business to Enterprise, even if that means going via Pro on the way?
The problem is there appears to be no documentation covering this scenario. @Jarred Tresize did you ever find a resolution?

Hi,
Windows 10 Enterprise Subscription Activation (EA or MPSA) requires Windows 10 Pro, version 1703 or later.
It is suggested that you can disconnect the Auzre Domain, return to Pro version, then run the command slmgr.vbs -dli to view the activation statue. We have to make sure that the pro version is activated.

If you're unsure about what the experience will be like just set up a test user, or pick one user, and make the change and work it all out.
