Not able to access JIT

JIT option is not getting visible now. I think its been decomm from Microsoft end. Getting issue while accessing the VMs now.

- Check if JIT Access is Available in Your Subscription
- JIT is part of the Azure Security Center Standard tier (not the free tier).
Ensure that Azure Security Center is enabled for your subscription.
Go to Azure Portal > Security Center and check your subscription’s tier under Pricing & Settings.
- Verify If JIT Access is Enabled in Security Center
Go to Security Center in the Azure portal.
Under Security Policy, check if Just-in-Time VM access is enabled.
If JIT is not visible, it might not be enabled or could have been disabled.
- Check Network Security Group (NSG) Rules
Ensure your VM's NSG is configured correctly to allow JIT access.
Ensure no conflicting NSG rules block the port that JIT temporarily opens.
- Ensure the VM is Supported for JIT
JIT access is only available for VMs covered by Azure Security Center Standard.
Verify the VM is supported and under the Security Center monitoring scope.
- Check for Azure Updates or Deprecation
Sometimes features are deprecated or updated.
Check Azure Updates or Azure documentation for any changes regarding JIT access.

- Alternative Methods to Access VM
Try connecting directly using RDP (for Windows VMs) or SSH (for Linux VMs) if JIT is not available.
Ensure that the VM allows these connection types and network configurations are correct.

I understood that JIT access for the VM was already enabled but it is not visible in the portal now. So, to understand the root cause, I would suggest checking if the Microsoft Defender for Servers Plan 2 is enabled; if not Go to Defender for Cloud → Environment Settings → Your Subscription and check if Defender for Servers is enabled. Also check if you have Reader and SecurityReader permissions, or a custom role to view the JIT status and NSG should be attached to the VM.
If JIT is enabled, select Request access to pass an access request with the requesting IP, time range, and ports that were configured for that VM. After the requested specified time, you cannot connect via that port unless another access request is approved.
