Microsoft Edge shows grid artifacts when playing 4K videos not fullscreen

Hello, I'm facing an annoying problem on Edge and other Chromium-based browsers. Every time that I watch a 4K video, grid artifacts show in the image, specially when a black or grey background is on screen (like the screenshots). This can be fixed turning the video to fullscreen, but I'd like to fix it so I can watch 4K vídeos when not on fullscreen. This doesn't happen on Firefox for some reason. Also, if I go in the Edge Flags page and change the "ANGLE graphics backend" to OpenGL or D3D9, the problem is fixed. That would be fine to use, but my graphics card Super Resolution feature for videos only work with D3D11, which has these artifacts.

I already reinstalled Windows, drivers etc and the problem didn't get resolved. It would appear to be a GPU driver problem, but Firefox don't have this issue, neither does external video players, like VLC, Stremio or MPC-BE.

  • Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D 8-Core Processor 3.40 GHz
  • Installed RAM: 32,0 GB
  • GPU: RTX 4090
  • GPU Drivers: 572.16

Summary of the problem:

  • Edge/Chrome/Chromium browsers + D3D11/Default ANGLE Backend + not fullscreen 4K video = artifacts
  • Edge/Chrome/Chromium browsers + D3D11/Default ANGLE Backend + fullscreen 4K video = OK
  • Edge/Chrome/Chromium browsers + OpenGL/D3D9 ANGLE Backend + not fullscreen 4K video = OK
  • Edge/Chrome/Chromium browsers + OpenGL/D3D9 ANGLE Backend + fullscreen 4K video = OK
  • Firefox + fullscreen and not fullscreen 4K video = OK

The screenshot doesn't show the artifact properly, the photo from my cellphone shows it perfectly:
