I am able to send emails using console application but getting below error while sending email using web service. Microsoft graph is used. Nugeet packages Azure.Identity and Microsoft.Graph are used in the project what could be the reason
ClientSecretCredential authentication failed: Retry failed after 4 tries. Retry settings can be adjusted in ClientOptions.Retry or by configuring a custom retry policy in ClientOptions.RetryPolicy.

Since sending email works from your console app but not from the web service, the issue likely lies in how the credentials are configured in the web environment. Please check if the tenant ID, client ID, and client secret are loading correctly, especially if they’re coming from environment variables or configuration files.

Also, make sure the client secret is valid and that the app registration has the required Microsoft Graph permissions. If the web service is hosted in Azure, confirm that it has outbound access to Azure AD, and isn’t restricted by a VNet or firewall.

If you can enable logging or check the inner exception, that might provide more clarity.
