SQL Server Setup failure.

I erase all the components and versions that I had, and now I'm getting this error when I try to install again de 2019 and 2022 version.

SQL Server Setup has encountered the following error:

Value cannot be null.

Parameter name: doc.

Try launching the installer using a command line:

setup.exe /ACTION=Install /SkipRules=DocNotNullCheck

(Replace setup.exe with the path to your actual installer)

Hey Kuruba thanks for the answer, but I did it but I still have the same error. Any Ideas?

1.Clear out the SQL Server setup cache folder:

Navigate to:

C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\150\Setup Bootstrap\Log\ (or similar paths like C:\Program Files (x86)...)

Delete everything inside the Log folder.

Also check:

C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\

and remove any leftover folders manually only if you're sure all SQL components are removed.

Leftover registry entries can cause issues(Caution!):

Important: Backup your registry before making below changes

Open regedit

Search for and remove SQL-related keys:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Microsoft SQL Server

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\ (look for anything SQL-related).

If above steps are not worked,

try using the "SQL Server Removal Tool" which can forcefully remove all SQL Server components.
