How do I fix DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION (133) Caused by "Hyperthreading"?

Hello,

For the past few weeks I have been troubleshooting issues regarding to my PC via this error.

I have upgraded to Windows 11 and the problem persists, along with the following attempts:

-Checking Hardware, Such As RAM

-Updating ALL Drivers (including chipset) to current that were out of date.

-Restoring my PC

-Making sure my Windows is up to date

My PC would freeze during gameplay or terminating the program, but the audio would still work for up to 2 minutes after the initial freeze. The minidump calls it as an Error 133, Arg 1, but the event viewer would claim it as a hyperthreading issue. The contradiction in this message is that my PC's UEFI does not contain that option, so I'm at a complete loss. I have research a majority of site, so if there is anything that stands out from this bizarre issue, please let me know!

This Q&A service will not allow me to share my DMP file, so if theres any way to help me through translating it, that would be great!

-Thank You!

    Hi Brandon,

Based on a quick search of nvlddmkm.sys it looks related to Nvidia GPU Driver. However, at least some results indicate bad RAM.

Have a look at some of these and do your own searches and see if any of the answers help you.

I would start with ensuring the clean install of the NVidia driver to the latest version (remove old then reboot then install new).

Then I would get my hands on memtest86 (or similar) latest version and test the ram (including one at a time or half at a time if you have multiple sticks of RAM).

Then any other suggestions in the threads which make sense for you configuration and scenario.

    Good luck
