Request to extend Azure for Students credit expiration for academic project

Hello,

I am a university student currently working on my thesis. I have an Azure for Students subscription, which still has remaining credits, but they are going to expire in 23 days.

Unfortunately, I activated the subscription early last year and now I still need it until August to complete my academic work.

Is there a way to request an extension for my student credits or the subscription validity?

Thank you very much for your help.

    Hi Egyed Pál

According to Microsoft's documentation, you can renew your Azure for Students subscription close to its expiration. A notification will be sent to your email address with instructions on how to renew.

    • Ensure that your student status is still valid and that you're using a recognized university email address.
    • Visit the Azure for Students page to verify if your institution and email domain are eligible.
    • If eligible, you can renew by signing up again for the Azure for Students offer using your university email address. This process will grant you a new $100 credit for the next 12 months.
    • After signing up, you can track your remaining credit and usage through the Azure Sponsorships portal.
