Microsoft Entra ID - Need to complete a new purchase?

I keep getting emails that my Microsoft Entra ID tenant is expiring and if I don't make a purchase my next Microsoft purchase will require a new Microsoft Entra ID tenant next time I purchase a Microsoft product. However, this is personal account, not a business account, and my Office 365 subscription is active.

And when I try to signed in, I keep getting this message.

Please help.

You likely created a Microsoft Entra ID tenant in the past. This could have happened when you:

Signed up for a Microsoft 365 developer program

Tried Azure for free or created a test directory

These tenants are separate from your personal account. They are free, but expire after if not used with a subscription. You do not need any action from my perspective.

However, you can check which tenant is expiring:

You will see your tenants.

Go to https://entra.microsoft.com

Sign in with your Microsoft account

Check the tenant dropdown (top-right corner)

You can just let it expire or go to Azure Portal > Microsoft Entra ID > Delete Directory

In Addition, You can purchase and associate Microsoft Entra ID P1 or P2 editions with your Azure subscription. If you need to create a new Azure subscription, you also need to activate your licensing plan and your Microsoft Entra ID service access. For information about obtaining a free trial, see Microsoft Entra ID P2 Trial.
