An Azure Front Door application is set up, but accessing the custom domain results in a 404 status code page not found we are getting. What are the potential causes and solutions for this issue?

    I understand that you are receiving a 404-status code while accessing the front door custom domain.

    • For further investigation, could you please let me know what the backend of the front door is?
    • Also, check if the backend URL is working when accessed directly. If it is not working, the issue is likely coming from the backend side.
    • Additionally, in the front door origin configuration, you can test by adding the backend host header to the origin host header and try again.
    • You can also collect the tracking reference ID in the access logs or in the HAR logs when encountering the 404 error. Use this reference ID to check logs in your Azure portal. Please refer to the following document for collecting the logs:
