Screenshot 2025-04-23 074700.png

I received two emails at the same time.

"Pay your bill to continue using Azure services

Your payment is overdue, and your Azure subscription will be disabled if we don’t receive payment soon. To continue using Azure services, ask your billing administrators to pay the amount due."

and

"Your account was disabled—pay now to keep your data

Your Azure account, and any data stored in it, will be deleted on 7/24/2025, unless we receive your payment by then. Please update your payment information and pay now to resume service and keep your data."

My Billing is provided in the photo. I owe 1 cent.

I also will be charged 73cents. I have used this program for over 6 months and have not been charged. I thought it was free. Now I am. What is happening. Unfortunately there is no possible mechanism to contact anyone. Every time I try to make a support request I get nothing. A really frustrating mechanism for users.

Why am I being charged?

How do I remove these charges?

I want to cancel my account but Azure wont allow me because of these charges.
This is very frustrating. I do not see how this is an appealing program for anyone to use.

I am not happy my credit card details are in the billing section even though I do not remember ever putting them in, as I have a policy to never leave credit card details up to others to decide to use. I am happy the card is expired and the number changed. This has put me off using this product.

    Hi,

I know you said you tried to create support request, but please carefully follow my instructions below. Please let me know if you run into any issues.

I recommend you create a billing support request so you can discuss with support engineer and ask them to refund charges. Billing support is free.

Please carefully follow my instructions below to create billing support request and avoid getting stuck in endless loop.

    1. Navigate to this link to start the process:

    https://portal.azure.com/#view/Microsoft_Azure_Support/HelpAndSupportBlade/~/overview

    2. Click Create a support request button at top

    User's image

    3. If you see Support AI Assistant as shown below, click Switch to old experience button on right. If not, proceed to step #4

    User's image

    4. On left, enter billing in the box and click Go

    User's image

    5. Select Billing and click Next

    User's image

    6. Select your subscription from the dropdown and click Next

    7. At this point there will be a delay of several seconds, and then various options will be displayed. Click Create a support request button at the top. Do not click any of the other options.

    User's image

    8. Fill out screen, Summary, Problem type, Problem subtype, then click Next button at bottom.

    9. There will be another several second delay, and then some solutions will be displayed (this is similar to above). DO NOT CLICK any of the solutions, instead click on Return to support request button in upper left corner, similar to below

azure support request Return to support request

    10. Now you are back at support case. Click Next button at bottom to continue to Additional details tab. Fill out information as required, one of the items you may need is your Subscription ID.

You can open separate browser tab and navigate to your subscription in portal, the ID is there, click the copy button to the right of it, then paste it into the box on Additional details tab. Click Next to advance to Review + create tab, then click Create.

You should receive an automated email within a few minutes and then be contacted by support within 1 business day.

Please click Accept Answer and upvote if the above was helpful.

    Thanks.
