Our Outlook application, which generates our corporate signature for email correspondence, functions well on our laptops connected to the cloud. However, it loads extremely slowly in our VDI/RD solution

    Dear Richa Nagrath,

Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. I sincerely appreciate your patience and feedback regarding the performance of Outlook in your Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environment.

To help resolve this matter as quickly as possible, I’d like to gather a few additional details:

Are you experiencing slowness only during the initial launch of Outlook, or does it persist during general use?

Have you noticed any specific patterns (e.g., times of day, certain actions) that exacerbate the slowdown?

Are there any other applications or processes running on the AVD machine that might be impacting performance?

In the meantime, I recommend checking the following optimizations, if you haven’t already:

Ensure your AVD session host has adequate resources allocated (CPU, memory, and network bandwidth).

Verify that Outlook is running in cached mode, which can significantly improve performance in virtualized environments.

Confirm that the latest updates for both Outlook and the AVD client are installed.

    Rgds,

    Alex
