Based on some announcements that I have seen here https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/unveiling-gpt-image-1-rising-to-new-heights-with-image-generation-in-azure-ai-foundry/ GPT-image-1 was released today and is said to be available for Deployment in Azure AI Foundry, but I cannot see it. Where is it and how can I deploy it ?

Thank you

    Hi Siry, Gaetan,

GPT-image-1 has been released in preview with limited access through the Azure OpenAI Service yesterday afternoon. This model brings major improvements over DALL·E, including better handling of detailed instructions, accurate text rendering in images, and the ability to edit images or perform inpainting by accepting images as input. It is now available to eligible users. To get started, users can follow the image generation how-to guide, and those interested can request access through the limited access model application.

I hope this information helps. Thank you!

    Hi Siry, Gaetan,

While GPT-image-1 was officially announced on April 23, 2025, via the Azure blog, it has not yet been released for general availability in Azure AI Foundry. The announcement indicates that the model is "coming soon" to eligible customers, but it is not currently accessible for deployment.

In the meantime, we recommend keeping an eye on the Azure OpenAI Service release notes for the latest updates. The “What’s new in Azure OpenAI Service” page will be updated accordingly with more details, including availability, supported regions, and deployment instructions once the model is live.

I hope this information helps. Thank you!
