Clarification on Windows Licensing

The client devices originally came with Windows 11 Pro from the OEM. However, they have since reinstalled Windows 11 Enterprise on those machines, effectively formatting the OEM-supplied OS.

I’d like to understand the licensing implications here. Since they’re now running Enterprise without a reimage, can I use the existing OS, disjoin the current domain, and then join them to the new company domain using the new credentials — would that be compliant? Or, do I still need to procure additional Windows Pro licenses to cover this scenario?

Your original OEM license was for Windows 11 Pro.

The device's OEM Pro license is intact, and the Enterprise edition is activated using valid licensing. You do not need to purchase new Pro licenses.
