I have just started up a brand new computer (Lenovo E16). I signed in with a local account as requested and then went to Windows --> Settings --> Accounts --> Access Work or School --> Add a Work or School Account --> Connect and then put in my work details and get an error message saying the account was not set up on this device because device management could not be enabled. This device may not be able to access some resources such as Wifi VPN or Email. Error code 80192EE7

    Hello @Laura Jeffery ,

I Understand you can't access your work account on a brand new computer, getting Error code 80192EE7 usually indicates that your account couldn't be set up on the device due to a device management issue. You can try the following steps:

Check Windows Information Protection (WIP) Settings:

    1. Go to portal.azure.com.
    2. Navigate to Microsoft Entra ID > Mobility (MDM and WIP) > Microsoft Intune.
    3. Set the Windows Information Protection (WIP) user scope to "None".

Alternatively, you can try this solution:

The error may be related to a DNS service issue on the machine. Verify if the machine can resolve the enrollment.manage.microsoft.com site.

This issue is commonly seen when you're managing your own DNS, and the machine is unable to reach the site. I recommend starting with DNS troubleshooting.

I hope this information is helpful. Let me know if you have any additional queries. Happy to assist you further.
