I need to include a map in a research paper. I made this map using a QGIS plugin (basemap) and Bing VirtualEarth lasyer as a background. In order to publish the map in the paper, what sentence (related to copyright/attribution) should I put on the map or in the caption of the figure? Do I also need to ask for permission preliminarily?
