DRS on Azure Local

Question

In Azure Local environment is there any feature link DRS on Vmware to load balance the hosts by distribute the VM to server hosts?

Hi Handian Sudianto,

We have built-in Virtual Machine Load Balancing feature that helps ensure your workloads are evenly distributed across all cluster nodes. This functionality is similar to VMware DRS and enhances performance and resource utilization without manual intervention.

It automatically rebalances VMs based on CPU and memory usage to prevent resource bottlenecks. By default, it Periodically checks for every 30 mins to ensure hosts stay balanced over time. It Evaluates CPU and memory usage across hosts and migrates VMs from over-utilized nodes to under-utilized ones and to track VM migrations, you can use event viewer logs to see migration details.
