Hello,

I cannot create an azure postgress flexible server in germany westcentral. I have all permissions and I don't see any restriction under usage/quota. Also policy list in my subscription is empty

    Hi @Duc ,

do you get an error message when creating the Azure Postgres flexible servers?

    Any detail would be helpful.

As far as I know there are 3 requirements:

    • Permission to create (including no policies preventing the creation of the Azure resource)
    • Quota for the Azure resource
    • Availability/capacity for the Azure resource in the selected region.

Did you try to create a Azure Postgres Flexible Server in a different Azure region (just to exclude the 3rd requirement).

(If the reply was helpful please don't forget to upvote and/or accept as answer, thank you)

    Hi @Duc

Although you have all the necessary permissions and there are no visible restrictions under usage or quota, sometimes a subscription needs to be explicitly whitelisted to create resources in specific regions. These restrictions are occasionally enforced by the backend team due to capacity concerns in those regions.

To resolve this, you will need to open a support case with Azure. Please find the steps to raise a support request below:

Sign in to the Azure portal, select Support + Troubleshooting in the menu bar, and then enter support in the search window:

    Thank You!
