Not receiving code to my Authenticator app

I’m trying to sign into my Outlook school account and to do so it keeps sending codes to my Authenticator app on my mobile. However when I open the app there is no code to approve the sign in. I keep trying to figure out why I’m not receiving the code on the app and would greatly appreciate some help.
