Hello,

We moved our Entra Connect from one server to another. We have the old server set to staging and the new server active. We have noticed that the password sync between AD changes and Entra are not instantly syncing like we used to experience. Password hash sync is enabled on the new server but the sync is only occurring every 30 minutes. Previously it would sync within 2 minutes.

    Hi @pb_jberg
I understand that you have password hash sync issue, sync between AD changes and Entra ID are not instantly syncing.
Could you please check and try with the below steps and see it can help.

    • Check the status of synchronization scheduler and see is your

    SyncCycleEnabled: True
User's image If it shows false change, it to "True" by using the Set-ADSyncScheduler -SyncCycleEnabled $true .

    • While you are configuring the new server did you check the box to Start the synchronization process when configuration completes
      User's image
    • Check the Event ID messages in Event Viewer and see is there any error with Event ID.

Also, please follow below troubleshoot guide for password hash synchronization.

Have you tried unchecking the option for PHS, saving it though the wizard then re-enabling the option and applying again.

This has been resolved. We had our Entra Connect Sync running at our colocation. There must have been some issues with password replication. As soon as we moved it back to our primary datacenter, password sync was instantaneous.
