Hi Christian Dextraze,
Good day! Welcome to Q&A forum.
It sounds like your new SharePoint sites are being created under "Company inc" when you want them under "company.com". This setting is controlled by your SharePoint admin center, not by the company name display setting.
How to Change the Default Site Creation Location:
- Go to SharePoint Admin Center:
- Sign in to Microsoft 365 as a global or SharePoint admin
- Navigate to the SharePoint admin center (https://[yourtenant]-admin.sharepoint.com)
- Access Site Creation Settings:
- In the left pane, select Settings
- Look for "Site creation" or "Site creation settings"
- Modify the Default Site Location:
- You should see an option for the default storage location
- Change it from "Company inc" to "company.com" or your preferred domain
- Save Changes
Additional Notes:
- This setting affects new site collections (communication sites and classic team sites connected to Microsoft 365 groups)
- Existing sites won't be moved automatically - they'll remain in their current location
- If you don't see these options, you may need higher admin privileges
Hope these information helps.
