Where did my Windows E Drive go?

My windows E drive with 900 GB just disappeared out of thin air when I attempted to create a storage pool. That shouldn't happen.

If the disk is there but missing the E: letter → just assign a new drive letter.

If it’s showing as “Unallocated” or not showing up at all → run the following in PowerShell:

get-virtualdisk
