gpt4o-mini deprecation and replacement in EU

In this documentation, you indicate that the gpt-4o-mini model will be deprecated on August 16, 2025. However, this change is not mentioned in the Azure OpenAI “What’s New” page. Could you please confirm if this deprecation is indeed planned?

Additionally, the announcement seems a bit surprising, as gpt-4o-mini is not currently planned for deprecation by OpenAI. In fact, it is still listed as a recommended replacement for some models in their deprecations documentation.

If this deprecation does go ahead, is there a plan to make gpt-4.1-mini (or nano) available for Standard deployments? With gpt-4o-mini being removed, there would be no smaller model available as a replacement in regions with deployment constraints (e.g., the EU).
