Using OneDrive app on my iPad, cannot select more than 20 photos to delete

Question

I’m trying to select and delete photos from my OneDrive cloud account using my iPAD. I have many photos loaded on OneDrive and am removing select photos. I use the “select” option, and when I choose which photos I want to delete, there’s a trash can showing in the middle bottom of the screen. When I select more than 20 photos, the trash can changes to a download icon. I cannot figure out how to select more than 20 photos and still be able to delete them. Looking for suggestions.
