Thank you for posting your query on Microsoft Q&A.The error code you encountered indicates that your tenant has been inactive for over 200 days past the billing cycle, triggering Microsoft’s effort to remove inactive tenants. When a tenant remains inactive for this period, the OMS commerce system imposes a login block (AADSTS5000225). Twenty days after the login block is applied, the tenant is permanently deleted.
If you plan to unblock your inactive tenant, it’s essential that it has been blocked for less than 20 days. After the 20-day period, the tenant is permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.
If it has been less than 20 days since the block, please provide the following details for further assistance in private message:
- Tenant ID
- Error Code
- Correlation ID from the recent failure
- Timestamp from the recent failure
- Business impact and justification for restoring the tenant, and an explanation of the impact if the tenant cannot be restored
Note: If it's a test tenant, please re-create a new tenant for testing purposes.

Tengo el mismo inconveniente, no se porque me pasa esto en realidad, siempre quise por así decir lo crearme una cuenta en Azure pero me era imposible por que no poseía tarjeta Credito para crear la cuenta, ahora tramite el github for studients para ver si podría utilizar azure para aprender y atender alguna necesidad de mi carrera

The problem is that in order to create a new tenant I have to login to Azure. But when I login to Azure I get that error. How do I create a new tenant if my access to Azure is completely blocked like this?

I tried creating a new account on the same email. I completed the whole procedure (including the payment method and e-mandate setup). Still, the account is showing the same error.
Is there a way to unblock the email now? I'm fine with losing the previous data (there wasn't any). -

Has anyone found a solution to this problem? I have spent countless hours trying to get this sorted out and been hung up on by Microsoft support several times. I run into the same error message with every email address I try. I don't know what to do next.

The problem that I was facing was that I had once, in the past, created an account and used the free trial, and I was unknowingly trying to do so again. I later tried "Paying as you go" after that, and it worked.If that is the problem in your case, hope this helps.

Mark Farrugia 0 Reputation points2026-02-04T12:36:40.61+00:00 I have the same problem. I have created a new tenant successfully but I can only log-in by specifying the new tenant domain when opening the Azure portal. Logging in through any other means results in this error.
I tried leaving the tenant and deleting the tenant but in both cases I end up being redirected to that tenant resulting in the same error screen in the browser.
Can you help?
