Version History not working in Sharepoint 365

I have noticed that our Version History does not allow us to view previous documents anymore, I have checked the settings for the Library and they are enabled correctly.

When i try and use a URL to find the documents i get the error '404 not found' (looking for __vti__history).

Can anyone advise?

Hi, thanks for getting back to me, unfortunately I have seen this article and it does not resolve my issue.

I can see my version history within the relevant library, I just can't open any of the files, I can restore then view / download them however this puts them to the top of the library where I want to keep them in date order as they are weekly reports saved over each week.

We were able to do this a few weeks ago so I am not sure what has happened and I cannot see a update that would have amended this.

When I hover over the document in the version history list, I see a file path which is looking for the __vti__history, when searching for this I cannot locate and it is not in a recycle bin either.

We use Sharepoint 365.
