Hi, I am locked out of my Microsoft 365 Business account. The issue is called Global Admin Lockout. I am the only admin of. my little company of which I am the owner and only coworker. I have tried to call many different Microsoft support numbers, going through the routine of stating my problem to the automated telephone response systems. Time after time, the services do not recognize my problem and I have gone through this routine and get no further. I can’t log in to create a support request since I am locked out. It is a ”catch 22” problem. Whatever I try I cannot get through to a support agent to explain my problem. It has taken me days and days of trial and error and now I am at my wit’s end. I think that the only way forward is to talk to a support agent.

The very best regards Anki

    Here are my suggestions

    1. If you changed your device recently, do you have your old device? Can you authenticate by the old device?
    2. Do you have the option to authenticate via other means like email?
    3. Did you purchase from a reseller? Can the reseller use delegated admin to help you reset your account?
    4. If you are the only administrator, and there are no other means for you to get access, then you have to contact the Microsoft Global Support phone numbers

    1. These phone numbers have Interactive Voice Response agent (IVR). Due to phone connection quality, and also your accent, some people have feedback that they have difficulty talking to a person. So using a good phone line, speaking slowly and clearly, might be an important factor.
    2. Others have feedback that following this script might be helpful

IVR: What kind of problem are you concerned about?

    You: Authenticator.

IVR: What kind of product do you use?

    You: Office 365 for business.

IVR confirmation: education or company account?

You: For companies or For education

    IVR: Are you an administrator?

    You: Yes.

IVR: Do you have the other administrator in your organization?

    You: No.

IVR: Do you need a... Service request?

    You: Yes

    Hope this helps
