Before initiating a quota increase request, ensure you review your current core quota in the region where the AVD host pool will be deployed.
Go to the Azure Portal.
Navigate to Subscriptions and select the subscription you are working with.
Under Usage + quotas, look for Compute or Virtual Machines (depending on the specific quota you want to increase).
Check the cores allocated in the region you're deploying to (e.g., East US, West Europe, etc.).
Request Quota Increase: Here’s how you can request an increase to your core quota:
Go to the Azure Portal:
Navigate to Help + Support:
Select New support request.
Select the Support Type:
In the Issue Type, select "Quota".
In the Subscription, choose the subscription where you want to increase the core quota.
Select the Quota You Need to Increase:
Quota Type: Select "Virtual Machines" or "Compute" depending on your region and specific requirement.
Region: Select the region where you want to increase your quota (this should match the region where you plan to deploy AVD).
Specify New Quota:
Enter the desired number of cores. Make sure it aligns with the number of virtual machines you plan to deploy.
Reason for Increase: In this section, mention you're deploying an Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) host pool, and you need more cores to meet the requirement.
Submit the Request: After filling out the form.
Wait for approval once you’ve submitted the request the timeline can vary depending on the region, subscription, and type of request.
