    Hi MARK SHORE,

Thank you for reaching out to us on the Microsoft Q&A forum.

Ensure that the Microsoft 365 subscription is active and has not expired. An active subscription is necessary for admin functionalities. Also, confirm that the granular admin relationship has, in fact, expired. This may occur if the relationship goes unrenewed after a specified duration.

Contact the partner who established the granular admin relationship. They need to renew it in order to restore access. If these partners are unresponsive, you may have to use Microsoft Entra ID (AAD) to regain access.

Determine whether or not there are additional Global Admins within your customer’s Microsoft 365 tenant. If there are, they should be able to assist in restoring your access or setting a new role for you. In case you have any sort of access to the Entra ID Portal, the dashboards contain a search function for checking Global Admins.

In Microsoft 365, granular admin permissions can expire, but Global Admins or Privileged Role Administrators can assign or renew these permissions. If your Granular Admin role has expired, the Global Admin needs to assign you the required roles again via the Admin Center or Microsoft Entra ID (AAD).

If you cannot find any other admin and are completely locked out, you will need to reach out to Microsoft Support for help Microsoft365 support.
