Your Copilot agent works in the Copilot tab but doesn't respond in the Teams Chat tab because it likely isn't enabled for personal chat scope, or the app isn't properly installed as a personal app in Teams.
Try these steps:
- In Copilot Studio, go to Settings > Channels > Microsoft Teams. → Make sure personal scope is enabled.
- In Microsoft Teams, go to Apps > search your bot > Install it as a personal app (not just as a tab).
- If it still doesn’t work: → Republish the agent in Copilot Studio → Then update the app in Teams (under “Built for your org”).
