The instructions for exploring data analytics in Microsoft Fabric are now outdated, requiring access to a homepage that now reroutes to the Power-BI experience. The instructions contain an imageScreenshot of the experience switcher menu.

where the Data Engineering symbol seems to match that of One Lake in the Power-BI left side panel User's image
though it is hard to say if this should produce the desired outcome.

Seeing as attempting to skip this "Data Engineering experience" step makes none of the suggested licensing mode options in step 4 available, this appears to be a workflow-breaking redesign. Does anybody know how to recreate the linked steps now that Fabric seems to have been wholly subsumed into Power-BI?

    1. Activate the Free Trial – Some users found that enabling the free trial under their user banner helped unlock the correct workspace setup.
    2. Use OneLake in Power BI – The Data Engineering symbol now seems to match OneLake in the Power BI left-side panel, which might be the new entry point for similar functionality.
    3. Follow Updated Tutorials – Microsoft has provided a Fabric tutorial for Power BI users that walks through Dataflows Gen2, Pipelines, and Lakehouse creation, which may help replicate previous steps.
    4. Check Power BI Community Discussions – Users have shared methods for replicating Applied Steps from one dataset to another, which might be useful if your workflow involved transformations.

Since Microsoft is actively updating documentation, you may want to follow the Microsoft Q&A thread for further updates. Let me know if you need help navigating these changes!
