As a student I had 12 months of Azure, just 27 days in (less than a month) and it suddenly disappeared, like I never had it at all.

I always receive this error in the portal:

An error occured when trying to fetch resources. Additional details from the underlying API that might be helpful: Please provide below info when asking for support: timestamp = 2025-05-14T02:02:06.4220324Z, correlationId = d5b0fa5b-9df0-477a-8b89-5350c3b40614. (Code: AccessDenied) Access is denied to the requested resource. The user might not have enough permission. (Code: AccessDenied) Try refreshing the page. Your resources aren't affected by the issue, we're just having trouble showing this view right now. To see a list of resources, select Simplified View.

Here's what I think happened:

I have to reverify my student statues every two years in GitHub education. My university major takes 5 years, and at the end of the 4th year I claimed the student offer.

After reverifying my academic statues on GitHub Education for the second time I think in the brief moment when I wasn't a student it cancelled all my benefits, including Azure for Students.

I still have ssh access to a VM that I created but I don't know if that's by design.

I searched everywhere for a way to contact support I couldn't find other than guides telling me to change my directory (the only one I have) or to make my account owner (to a non existing subscription), please advise.

    Hello Ahmed Taha,

    Thank you for your patience.

I’d like to summarize our recent conversation for your reference:

    • Issue: You were unable to view the subscription and its associated resources in the Azure portal.
    • Root Cause: You were logged in using your school credentials, which are not linked to the subscription. The subscription was created under a different account.
    • Resolution: We attempted access using your personal account credentials, and as a result, you were able to successfully view the subscription and its resources.

I trust this resolves the issue to your satisfaction. If so, please consider clicking “Accept the answer” and “Upvote” where the assistance provided was helpful. This not only acknowledges the support but also helps other community members who might face similar issues.

    Your feedback is greatly appreciated!

    Thanks
