Basically I have two servers, and I wanted to deploy a replication configuration on my secondary server in case the primary one goes down, and so it takes over with everything it has on the first one, but when deploying replication from the primary server to the secondary one, through the server manager, mirroring AD, and everything else as described above, but the names were similar for both the domain controller and the local one and I believe there was a nice conflict problem and I no longer have the access credentials, could someone please help me? I would like to access again.

    Hello,

Thank you for posting question on Microsoft Windows forum!

Based on your query of not having credentials to access DCs, the best approach now is to try recovering administrative access to the domain controller or the local server. Here is a few suggested steps.

    1. Check Alternate Admin Accounts: If there were any other administrator accounts configured on either server, you might be able to log in using those credentials.
    2. Safe Mode Recovery: You can try booting into Directory Services Restore Mode (DSRM) if you're dealing with an Active Directory issue. Restart the server and press F8 before Windows starts, then choose Directory Services Restore Mode and log in using the local DSRM credentials.
    3. Recovery via Installation Media: you can try to boot using Windows Server installation media, go into Recovery Mode, open Command Prompt, and reset passwords using built-in utilities.
    4. Rollback or Restore: If replication caused the issue, consider rolling back changes via any existing backups to restore access.

    Hope above steps are helpful!
