Need a six digit code and the app is only giving 8

Question

My airline app is asking for a six digit code from my authenticator app, but the authenticator app is only giving me eight digit codes. Need help ASAP flying in the morning.

1. Log in to the airline website on a computer or browser (if possible).
2. Go to the Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) or Security section.
3. Remove the current 2FA setup if it allows.
4. Re-set it up — look for:
   • A QR code to scan with your Authenticator.
   • OR an option that says “Use Authenticator App” or “Manual Setup.”
5. When prompted, scan the QR code again with Microsoft Authenticator — this time it should default to a 6-digit code if that’s what the service expects.
