From 18th May, the link to the Azure Language Studio in the Azure resource is pointing to AI Foundry and the end point given on the resource page gives 404. I cannot find a way to get to Language Studio from inside AI Foundry.

We have found this retirement notice for LUIS: [https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/1031241/retirement-announcement-language-understanding-(lu](https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/1031241/retirement-announcement-language-understanding-(lu) but that does not make the link to Language Studio very clear.

We are using these Language Models for several customers who need their categorisation to be trained so need this resource.

If Language Studio is being retired on 1 October 2025, what do Microsoft intend as the replacement for a trained multi-label classification please?

    Hi Taylor, Kate,

We are currently in the process of migrating features from the classic Language Studio – Microsoft Azure to the new Azure AI Foundry Language Portal.

The classic Language Studio remains available and is ideal for accessing and managing older, custom-trained models—particularly for tasks like classification, entity recognition, and conversational language understanding using your own labeled data. It provides a no-code interface that many users are familiar with for building and refining machine learning models.

The new Azure AI Foundry represents a more unified and modern experience. It is well-suited for building advanced AI applications. Users can continue working with existing models in Language Studio or begin leveraging the latest capabilities in Azure AI Foundry, depending on their project requirements. Both platforms also support REST APIs and SDKs for flexible, programmatic access to model training, deployment, and inference.
